Student Ministry is about:
having a relationship with Christ
a willingness to share your faith with other teens
consistent commitment to meetings
a commitment to daily prayer
a lifestyle free from serious wrong-doing
Student Ministers are not perfect people but they are leaders. With that leadership comes a responsibility to be a consistent role model. Peer Ministers refrain from the use of alcohol, drugs, sex, profanity, negative talk and gossip
supporting the mission of St. Francis High School in word and deed
Being a Student Minister is a commitment to live the talk and walk with Christ by loving God and loving others. People will be watching and following YOU!
Meetings:
Student Ministers must commit to Fridays before school, from 6:30-7:30am
Meetings will include leadership training, prayer, small faith groups, planning service, worship and outreach events for SFHS community
Consistent attendance is essential to building community
Arrive on time and stay until the end
Please make travel arrangements to school with this in mind
Inconsistent attendance and tardies will be cause for removal from the team
Student Ministers must attend the summer Student Ministry overnight, and a possible second overnight during second semester.
Senior Student Ministers will be expected to help with the Freshmen Retreat,
(Sophomore Retreat date is TBA and some Student Ministers will be invited to help facilitate.)
Read and sign the Lifestyle commitment. Unbecoming behavior will be cause for removal.
