“Parade,” the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical that relates the compelling true story of a Brooklyn-born Jewish factory owner falsely accused of murdering a 13-year-old girl who worked in his factory, will be performed March 6, 7, 8, 9 in the Kuhn Cultural Arts Center.
Based on the book by Alfred Uhry, with music and lyrics by New York composer and lyricist Jason Robert Brown, “Parade” will be performed at 7:30 p.m Thursday, March 6; 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 7; 1:30 p.m Saturday, March 8; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8; 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9.
Carolyn Brady, director of the St. Francis' theatre program, will direct the student production that features 50 cast members. ‘Parade’ features a lot of stirring, ensemble music that is operatic in its scope. The music is as compelling as the lyrics.

| Attendance Policy: An excused absence is an absence that the student has communicated in writing to the Director at the beginning of therehearsal process or an illness with a doctor's note. This schedule has been made in attempt to best fit all students' and staffs' availability. An unexcused absence is an absence which is not on a student's conflict form. After one unexcused absence, the student will be dismissed from the cast. With the first unexcused absence, the student is subject to repercussions such as but not limited to the removal from a scene or role. Due to the nature of the time frame in putting a production together, we ask that parents and students please schedule future appointments based on the rehearsal schedule. Feel free to contact Ms. Brady or Mr. Wall with any questions. |
